An early spring edible flower medley with orange and yellow blooms.
Conditions
To ensure its successful growth, begin by selecting a sunny location (6+ hours of direct sunlight) with well-drained soil.
Planting
Plant the seeds in early spring or late summer to enjoy a continuous display of blooms throughout the growing season. Use our grow calendar tool to find specific planting dates for your region! Plant 2ā3 seeds per starter pot indoors 4ā5 weeks before transplating bury them about 1/4 inch deep. Thin to the one strongest plant per pot when ~2" tall, and transition outside (harden) for 7 days before outdoor transplant. Space them 12ā18 inches apart to allow ample room for growth.
Care
Consistently moist soil, without waterlogging is essential, and a balanced, all-purpose organic fertilizer applied every 4ā6 weeks will help sustain the plant's vitality. Regular deadheading (removal old flowers) encourages more blooms.
Pets and Disease
